Abstract

This chapter illustrates the laparoscopic approach of segmental bowel resection for deep infiltrating endometriosis, reviewing historical curiosities, indications and technical tips and tricks of the technique. Surgical anatomy at the basis of a correct and radical excision of bowel endometriosis will be highlighted, with particular focus on the modern advances of the nerve-sparing technique in endometriosis surgery.
