Abstract

The purpose of this articIe is to review some aspects concerning the role of endometriosis in infertility and its medical management.It is referred that aromatase inhibitors may represent a new approach in the medical therapy, since endometriosis is a hormone-dependent disease and the basis of its treatment is the promotion of a hypoestrogenic environment.However, it is registered that large c1inical trials are required to establish the real effectiveness of aromatase inhibitors in the medical management of endometriosis.
