Wie ist der Stand heutzutage? In dieser Übersichtsarbeit werden verbreitete Aussagen zu den psychologischen und psychosomatischen Aspekten von Endometriose im Allgemeinen und speziell zur Endometriosepatientin mit Kinderwunsch vor allem aus methodenkritischer Sicht kritisch reflektiert. Die gängigen psychosomatischen Modelle zur Genese der Endometriose konnten bisher nicht durch systematische Studien verifiziert werden. Abstract In early psychosomatic research endometriosis has been referred to as the “airline stewardess disease”. What is the current state of research? In this review statements concerning the psychological and psychosomatic aspects of endometriosis in general and especially about patients with endometriosis and a wish for a child are methodologically reviewed and critically discussed. Popular psychosomatic models on the genesis of endometriosis have not been verified by systematic studies to date.
