[Expressions of matrix metalloproteinase-9 and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 in ectopic and eutopic endometrium].
This study investigated matrix metalloproteinase-9 and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 expression in ectopic and eutopic endometrium, finding significantly higher MMP-9 and lower TIMP-1 in ectopic tissue, suggesting a role in endometriosis pathogenesis.
