Evaluating the effect of nurses' supportive and educational care on GATA2 gene expression and quality of life in patients with endometriosis
Nurses' supportive and educational care significantly improved quality of life scores and increased GATA2 gene expression in endometriosis patients.

This semi-experimental before-and-after study assessed whether nurses’ supportive and educational care sessions would change quality of life and GATA2 gene expression in 45 endometriosis patients, using quality-of-life questionnaires completed before and after the intervention and real-time PCR on endometrial tissue sampled before and after. After the intervention, average quality of life scores increased from 51.73±13.91 to 60.46±13.80 (P<0.001), with significant improvements specifically in the physical and mental health dimensions. GATA2 expression also rose from 0.35±0.13 to 0.96±0.32 (about threefold; significant at the 5% level). This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it evaluates nurse supportive/educational care effects on quality of life and GATA2 gene expression in endometriosis patients.
