Comparação entre contraceptivos hormonais combinados e progestágenos isolados na efetividade do tratamento da endometriose: uma revisão de literatura / Comparison between combined hormonal contraceptives and progestogens in the effectiveness of the treatment of endometriosis: a literature review DOI: https://doi.org/10.34119/bjhrv4n2-008Keywords: Contraceptivos hormonais combinados, Progestágenos, Endometriose.Abstract INTRODUÇÃO: A endometriose é uma condição ginecológica benigna crônica, hormônio-dependente e é definida pela presença ectópica de tecido endometrial. Dentre as opções de tratamento, o uso de contraceptivos hormonais combinados (CHC) e de progestágenos isolados (PR) é bastante prevalente nos consultórios. Diante disso, o objetivo do presente estudo é analisar e comparar os fármacos citados para avaliar sua efetividade no tratamento da endometriose. METODOLOGIA: Revisão de literatura realizada nas bases de dados MEDLINE/Pubmed, LILACS e SciELO, com o uso dos descritores “Combined hormonal”, “Hormonal Contraception”, “Progesterone” e “Endometriosis”, juntamente aos operadores lógicos de pesquisa “OR” e “AND”. Incluiu-se artigos em inglês, português, espanhol e francês, com recorte temporal de 2011 a 2021. RESULTADOS: Foram selecionados 22 artigos dos quais 9 analisavam PR, 4 analisavam CHC, 3 analisavam ambos (PR e CHC) e 6 analisavam mais de um tipo de terapia. DISCUSSÃO: Os PR e CHC apresentam eficácia no controle dos sintomas e aumento da qualidade de vida em mulheres com endometriose, portanto, estão indicados como opção terapêutica de primeira linha no tratamento clínico da endometriose. CONCLUSÃO: O presente estudo não foi capaz de elucidar se há superioridade de uma terapia em relação a outra. Diante disso, o tratamento deve ser individualizado. References ABOU-SETTA, A. M. et al.
