Study on the Correlation Between Gene Polymorphism of COMT and Endometriosis and Adenomyosis

To study the correlation between gene polymorphism of Catechol-O-Methyl transferase(COMT) and endometriosis(EMs) and adenomyosis(Ad),the polymorphism of COMT gene was analyzed by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP) method in 61 patients with EMs and 59 patients with Ad and 65 healthy controls.There was no significance of the alleles and genotype between EMs group,Ad group and control group.The relative risk suffered from endometriosis of G/A and A/A genotype was 0.629 and 0.876 times of the G/G genotype respectively.There was no correlation between the NlaⅢ gene polymorphism of COMT and endometriosis and adenomyosis.The mechanism of endometriosis and adenomyosis was similar.
