Estrogen receptors (ERα/ERβ) in normal and pathological growth of the human myometrium: pregnancy and leiomyoma
This study found that ERalpha mRNA is low in term pregnancy myometria, but increased in leiomyoma, and pregnancy and leiomyoma show altered estrogen receptor binding sites and capacities.
