Evaluation of peritoneal fluid hemosiderin-laden macrophages in biopsy-proven endometriosis.
This study found that hemosiderin-laden macrophages were significantly more common in the peritoneal fluid of endometriosis patients, exhibiting 52% sensitivity and 87% specificity for diagnosis.
