Abstract
Objective To evaluate the expression levels of chemokine receptor 6 (CCR6) in the eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium of patients with endometriosis, and to study the pathogenesis of endometriosis. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the protein expression of CCR6 in the eutopic endometrium and ectopic foci of endometriosis, with the endometrium of fertile women who had no endometriosis as control. Results The expression of CCR6 in the secretory phase of control endometrium was significantly higher than that of the proliferative phase of control endometrium (P0.05). There was no significant difference in the expression of CCR6 in the glands and the stroma of eutopic endometrium of endometriosis (P0.05).But the expression of CCR6 was much higher in eutopic endometrium than that of control endometrium. (P0.05). The expression of CCR6 in ectopic endometrium was significantly higher than that of control endometrium (P0.05),also higher than eutopic endometrium, but had no significant differences. (P0.05). Conclusion The results indicates that CCR6 may be involved in the pathogenesis and development of endometriosis.
