Abstract

Abstract This consensus is drawn principally from the published data, complemented by the experience of the participants who attended a workshop in Middlesbrough, UK, 7–9 December 2000. The delegates at this meeting included most of those who had introduced and developed the various techniques to be investigated. We believe that ‘the relative value of the various intra‐uterine procedures designed to treat dysfunctional uterine bleeding will only be resolved with unbiased, properly designed randomised studies’. 1
