Abstract

Objective Helicine artery hemodynamics was observed in menstrual cycle of adenomyosis(AM) patient,To investigate the feasibility of Doppler ultrasonic examination for early diagnosis of adenomyosis(AM).Methods The resistent index(RI) and S/D ratio of the helicine artery were measured in 28 AM cases(group A) and 30 healthy women(group B) in the follicle growth phase, follicle maturation phase, midluteal phase and luteal advanced phase with transvaginal color Doppler flow image(TV-CDFI).The results were analyzed and compared. Results The levels of RI and S/D ratio of the helicine artery in both groups were in an order of in early follicular phasein mature follicle phasein midluteal phase. The difference of the levels of RI and S/D ratio of the helicine artery among three phases was not significiant in group A,but was significiant in group B.Conclusion The changes of haemodynamics of helicine artery during menstrual cycle are significantly different between AM patient and healthy women, indicating that the early diagnosis rate can be elevated with TV-CDFI.
