Modified Intrafascial Vaginal Hysterectomy:24 Cases Analysis

Objective To explore the effect of modified intrafascial vaginal hysterectomy.Methods 24 cases with uterine prolapse and hysteromyoma were performed modified intrafascial vaginal hysterectomy.The uterine was mobile with no adhesion and size of 6～12 weeks pregnancy by estimation.Results 23 cases were accomplished the vaginal hysterectomy successfully,but 1 case of hysteromyoma and endometriosis conversed to open surgery due to severe adhesion.The average weight of uterus was 267.5 g(range from 45 to 490 g),the mean operative time was 95 minutes(range from 60 to 150 minutes),and the average blood loss was 150 ml(range from 50 to 400 ml).No serious complication was found.The temperature recovered in 1 to 7 days(average 3.3 days).Conclusion The modified intrafascial vaginal hysterectomy is a safe and effective operation,and worthy to be popularized.
