Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical significance of changes of serum adiponectin and Hs-CRP levels after treatment in patients with endometriosis.Methods Concentrations of resistin were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and Hs-CRP was determined by rate nephelometry immunoassay.Serum adiponectin and Hs-CRP levels were determined in 46 patients with endometriosis both before and after treatment as well as in 34 controls.Results Before treatment,the serum Hs-CRP levels in patients were significantly higher than those in the controls(P＜0.01).while the adiponectin levels were significantly lower(P＜0.01).After 3 months of treatment all the levels were not significantly different from those in controls(P＞0.05).Conclusion Development of endometriosis were closely related to the serum levels of adiponectin and Hs-CRP.
