Abstract

The authors describe a rare case of obstruction of the small intestine, caused by extragenital endometriosis in the stage of proliferation with progressing endometriosis. Resection of the affected portion of the ileum with decompression of the dilated loops and end-to-end anastomosis led to rapid restoration of the passage and to the patient's recovery.
