Abstract

A detailed comparative analysis of the results of a survey of women with uterine myoma complicated by a hemorrhagic syndrome on the background of a hormone therapy (study group n=43) and of patients whose complications in the conservative treatment of uterine fibroids hormonal therapy has been observed (as a comparison group (n=33) is presented. The control group has been represented by practically healthy women (n=27). The immune system has been evaluated on the basis of the content of cytokines IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, γ-IFN, TNF-α and marker of apoptosis of Fas-L in the serum of women, using the method of solid-phase immunoassay. Additionally, screening of IgG and IgM antibodies to the causative agents of urogenital infections (chlamydia, ureaplasmosis, trichomoniasis, cytomegalovirus and herpes infections) by enzyme immunoassay (ELISA) has been performed. It has been stated that the occurrence of hemorrhagic syndrome on the background of hormonal therapy of uterine fibroids is associated with chronic urogenital infections, contributing to violations of the immune status, the reduction of the functions of Th1 and Th2-lymphocytes, a significant inhibition of apoptosis, which necessitates a more detailed examination of women with this pathology with the aim of improving methods of conservative treatment of uterine fibroids and reduce the frequency of complications and the lack of effectiveness of hormone therapy.
