The study presents Thailand and Australian universities' available web accessibility policies on a conceptual foundation, stretching from an overview of web accessibility statements to related legal and regulatory mandates. Data collection consisted of 195 universities: 153 from Thailand and 42 from Australia. A content analysis method was used to extract the most associated context. To that end, the researchers assessed the universities concerning their claims of web accessibility compliance. R statistical programming was used to import the data collected and compute the statistical data analyses. The results showed that while all Thai universities did not have a web accessibility policy on the homepage, most Australian universities have a web accessibility policy at a minimum status. Furthermore, there were associations between the accessibility link on the homepage and the commitment status, conformance status, and feedback on the accessibility of the website. That means the accessibility policy link should be visible clearly on the homepage for easy access instead of internal searching. The Thai government needs to implement a multiphase approach to enforce policy usage on the university website's accessibility for any violation. web accessibility accessibility compliance people with disabilities accessibility policy statement Full Text Additional Declarations No competing interests reported.
