Abstract

Objective To explore the method and application value of computer-assisted microwave ablation planning system in the treatment of adenomyosis. Methods CT images of the patients with adenomyosis were imported into the computer-assisted microwave ablation planning system. Then uterus with its surrounding tissues were reconstructed through 3D reconstruction technology and computerassisted surgery simulation technology based on the image data to determine the scope and implement approach of microwave ablation so that 3D model used to simulate microwave ablation thermal field and damage field after ablation can be established. Then the microwave ablation guided by ultrasound of the patient with adenomyosis was conducted according to the simulative implement approach and thermal ablation parameters. Results The planning accuracy, operation efficiency, safety and curative effect of the microwave ablation of adenomyosis have been improved with the application of the system. Conclusion Computer-assisted microwave ablation planning system which can improve the reliability and security of surgical planning can be used in the microwave hyperthermia of adenomyosis.
