Abstract

[Objective] To investigate the effects of laporoscopic resection on ET and NO of patients with colorectal cancer on and its clinical significance.[Methods] 42 patients suffering from colorectal cancer, who were admitted to our department from Jan.2009 to Jun.2010,were divided into laparoscopic group(n =20) and laparotomy group(n =22).The levels of ET and NO in the two groups were examined and analyzed in perioperative stage.[Results] The operation time was longer but blood loss was less in the laparoscopic group than in the laparotomy group(P 0.05).The level of ET on the 1st day was significantly lower than that before operation in the laparoscopic group(P 0.05),which recovered on the 3rd day after operation. The level of ET in the laparotomy group recovered on the 1st day after operation. The levels of NO at the end of operation in the two groups were significantly lower than those before operation(P 0.05).The level of NO recovered to the previous level on the 3rd day after operation in the laparoscopic group, while on the 2nd day in the laparotomy group.[Conclusions] Laparoscopic colectomy has less effects on ET and NO than laparotomy in patients with colorectal cancer.Compared with laparotomy, the laparoscopic colectomy imposes less impact on physical stress.
