Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of transvaginal operation on benign ovarian tumor.Methods A total of 131 patients with benign ovarian tumor were divided into and transabdominal(operation) group.Their operative outcomes and complications were compared.Results There existed no difference in complications between the two groups(P0.05).The amount of bleeding,the operative time,the time for passage of gas,the time of hospitalization,and analgesic drug consumption were significantly less in the transvaginal group than in the transabdominal group(P0.01).Conclusion Transvaginal ovariocystectomy is better than transabdominal procedure.It is worth widely spreading in clinical practice.
