Abstract

Objective:To evaluate effect of Shuqi Dingtong Formula on Qi stagnancy and blood stasis syndrome in Chronic Pelvic Inflammatory Disease(CPID).Methods:Totally 68 patients were randomized into treatment group and control group. The treatment group was treated with Shuqi Dingtong Formula. The control group was treated with Metronidazole and Levofloxacin. The course of treatment was 40 days.Symptom integral was observed for all patients at the time of pre-treatment,post-treatment and follow-up for comparing the curative effect.Recurrence rate was evaluated 3 months after treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 91.4% while that of the control group was 66.7%,the difference was significant(P0.05).After treatment, the symptom integral of the treatment group was fewer than that of the control group(P0.01).The recurrence rate of the treatment group was 18.75% while that of the control group was 45.45%,the difference was significant(P0.05).Conclusion:Shuqi Dingtong Formula is more effective than antibiotic in treating CPID.At the same time, the recurrence rate is lower.
