Effects of laparoscopic surgery combined with gestrinone and Zhitong Huazhen capsule on endometriosis

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficiency of laparoscopic surgery combined with gestrinone and Zhitong Huazhen capsule on endometriosis,as well as its side effects and recurrence rate.Methods: A total of 100 endometriosis cases that underwent laparoscopic surgery during November 2008 to January 2010 were randomly divided into control group(50 cases) and treatment group(50 cases).Both groups were given gestrinone capsules after surgery,while the treatment group was also given an extra Zhitong Huazhen capsule,3 months made a course.The clinical efficiency,side effects,and recurrence were compared between the two groups.Results: The treatment group showed a total effective rate of 88%,side effects rate of 4%,recurrence rate of 10%,the corresponding percentage was 62%,24%,and 20%,which were all significant higher than that of the former(P all0.05).Conclusions: Laparoscopic surgery combined with gestrinone and Zhitong Huazhen capsule can release symptoms,reduce recurrence rate,and side effects for patients with endometriosis.
