Abstract
Endometriosis is classicaly known by presence of ectopic tissue with morphological and functional characteristics of endometrium. Ovarian endometriosis is one of the most frequent localisations. Pathogenesis is not wellknown but multifactorial origin is proposed. The symptomatology is dominated by pain and infertility. Clinical examination is poor. Pelvic ultra-sound is the gold standard for diagnosis of endometriosis. Laparoscopy is the only examination giving certain diagnosis thanks to biopsies. First line treatment is surgical and medical treatments are in general palliative. Therapeutic success depend on completed surgical resection. We report the case of menopaused woman with ovarian endometriosis simulating ovarian neoplasic pathology, and literature review.
