Effectiveness, Safety and Obedience of Dienogest and Leuprolide Acetate in Postlaparoscopic Endometriosis Patients
This study found no significant differences in therapeutic effectiveness, safety profile, or adherence between dienogest and leuprolide acetate in postlaparoscopic endometriosis patients.

This randomized open-label clinical trial compared postoperative dienogest versus leuprolide acetate in women with endometriosis who underwent laparoscopy, assessing therapeutic effectiveness, safety (vital signs and side effects), and adherence (“obedience”) outcomes over 4, 8, and 12 weeks. Both groups showed effectiveness with decreasing VAS scores across weeks, with statistically significant results for each time point in each treatment arm (p values reported around 0.003–0.004). No differences were found between groups for systolic/diastolic blood pressure, pulse/respiratory rate, temperature, or side effects (all p values > 0.238), indicating similar safety and tolerability based on measured parameters. This paper is centrally about endometriosis—specifically comparing postoperative dienogest and leuprolide acetate for symptom improvement and safety in post-laparoscopic endometriosis patients.
