Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of compound Resina Draconis plaster for treating rat endometriosis. Methods A model of endometriosis was made by surgical implantation.Serum PCG_(2α) was measured by enzyme immunoassay in different rat groups. The volume and weight of the ectopic focus were measured and a histopathological examination was performed. Results The serum PCG_(2α) level was significantly higher in the model group of rats than in the normal and sham operation groups and lower to a different extent in the compound Resina Draconis plaster and Danazol groups than in the model group. The volume and weight of ectopic endometrial tissue were lower to a different degree in the compound Resina Draconis plaster and Danazol groups than in the model group. Conclusion Compound Resina Draconis plaster can inhibit the growth of ectopic endometrial tissue and lower serum PCG_(2α) level.
