Abstract

Objective To discuss the therapeutic effects of laparoscopic surgery for ovarian endometrial cyst. Methods From January 2006 to December 2008, the clinic data of 265 cases with ovarian endometriosis were retrospective analyzed. They were divided into laparoscopic surgery group (n=126) and laparotomy group (n=139) according to the surgical procedures. The surgical time, bleeding volume, postoperative morbidity, antibiotics application time, hospitalization time, postoperative analgesia pump usage, and wound healing were compared between two groups. Results The bleeding volume, dosage of painkiller of laparoscopic surgery group were smaller or shorter than those of laparotomy group(P<0.05). The postoperative fever days, hospitalization time, and antibiotics application time of laparoscopic surgery group were shorter than those of laparotomy group(P<0.05). Conclusion Laparoscopy is the gold standard of diagnosis and treatment of ovarian endometrial cyst. The clinic doctors should strictly master the indications, complications, prevention and treatment of ovarian endometrial cyst with a variety of methods and conversion time. Key words: laparoscopic surgery; laparotomy; ovarian cysts; ovarian endometrial cyst
