Clinical observation of therapeutic effect of Xianlinggubao capsule on add-back therapy with drug induced menopause

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect and mechanism of Xianlinggubao(xlgb) capsule on sclerotin loss caused by drug induced menopause.Methods 120 patients who were treated with GnRHa after endometriosis(EMT) postoperative pathologic diagnosis,and were given GnRHa on the first day of their first menses after EMT surgery.Three weeks later,the endometrial thickness was measured by B)ultrasonography,and serum E2 levels and bone mineral density(BMD) were detected.Then,the patients were randomly divided into three groups,and they were treated as following,and the parameters were detected again after 112-day administration with GnRHa.The control group:vitamin E 100mg qd;add-back group:premarin 0.3mg+provera 4mg qd;observation group:xlgb capsules 1.5g bid.Results Three weeks after treated with GnRHa,the patients' serum E2 levels were reduced obviously and were at menopausal state.After four treatment courses,the BMD of the control group was decreased,but that in other two groups didn't change.However the serum E2 levels in addback group was significantly higher than that in observation group(P 0.05),but which didn't change in control group and observation group.The thickness of endometrium didn't change too,however,which increased slightly in add-back group,and there was irregular vaginal bleeding in 5 patients.Conclusion Xianlinggubao capsule has preventive and therapeutic effects by decreasing BMD caused by drug induced menopause,without influence on serum E2 levels and endometrium
