Abstract
Objective To investige the possible roles of polo-like kinase1(PLK1)in the pathogenesis of endometriosis. Methods The expression of PLK1 were studied in the three group tissue:29 ectopic and 20 eutopic endometrial tissue from women with endometriosis and 30 endometrial tissue from healthy women by Western blotting,RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry. Results The expression levels of PLK1 in the ectopic and eutopic endometrial tissue from women with endometriosis were significantly higher than that in the endometrial tissue from healthy women(P0.05).No significant difference was found between the expression levels of PLK1 in the ectopic and eutopic endometrial tissue from women with endometriosis(P0.05).Conclusions The higher expression of PLK1 in the ectopic and eutopic endometrial indicates that PLK1 may be involved in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
