Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of domestic leuprolide acetate injection in preventing postoperative recurrence of endometriosis. Methods 150 endometriosis patients aged 29 years to 49 years who received postoperative drug treatment were randomly divided into 3 groups, namely the leuprolide acetate microsphere group, the oral contraceptive Diane-35 group and the Chinese patent medicine Guizhi Fuling capsule group. The recurrence rates of dysmenorrhea, recurrence rates of endometriosis lump, changes of sex hormone levels, CA125 levels and adverse drug reaction rates of the patients after 3 and 6 months of drug treatment were compared. Results The reproductive hormone levels and CA125 levels of all groups dropped and the leuprolide acetate microsphere group dropped most significantly. The leuprolide acetate microsphere group had the lowest recurrence rate and the adverse reaction rates were not significantly different among the 3 groups. Conclusion Compared to oral contraceptive Diane-35 and Chinese patent medicine, leuprolide acetate microsphere injection has the advantages of cheap price, low recurrence rate and low adverse drug reaction rate in preventing postoperative recurrence of endometriosis.
