Expression of integrin β_3 and transforming growth factor β_1 in endometrium and endometriotic tissues

Objective To investigate the expressions of integrin β3 and transforming growth factor β1(TGFβ1) in endometrium and endometriotic tissues.Methods The expressions of integrinβ3 and TGFβ1 were determined by immunohistochemistry method in 10 endometrium tissues and 10 endometriotic tissues from patients with endometriosis and 10 endometrium from non-endometriosis subjects during the same menstrual phase.Results The expression of integrin β3 in endometriotic tissues was significantly lower than that in non-endometriosis(P0.05),the expressions of TGFβ1 in endometriotic tissues was significantly higher than that in non-endometriosis(P0.05).Conclusion In patients with endometriosis,integrin β3 and TGFβ1 expressions change significantly from eutopic endometrium to ectopic endometrium,and may be related to the development of endometriosis and infertility.
