Abstract

The article reviews clinical cases of a rare form of extrapelvic endometriosis - inguinal endometriosis. We have developed our own algorithm for ultrasound examination of patients with suspected endometriosis, regardless of the presence of formations in the inguinal region, including a mandatory examination of the anterior abdominal wall, starting from the pubic symphysis, namely, an examination of the upper branches of the pubic bones and the upper pubic ligaments with the transition to the inguinal region, including an examination of the area of all postoperative skin scars. Diagnostic features of inguinal endometriosis are determined: the main symptom is the localization of the lesion - at the upper branch of the pubic bone, the disease is a hypoechoic formation of a predominantly mixed or cystic structure with fuzzy edges, with no blood flow or having weak vascularization during color Doppler imaging; visualization of tubular fluid structures along the inguinal canal reveals the presence of a suspension in them or hypoechoic inclusions of an irregular shape with an uneven edge near the walls of the Nuka canal.
