Abstract
Endometriosis is a progressive disease with common symptoms such as pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea and infertility. Symptoms of endometriosis significantly affect the well-being and life quality of women. Endometriosis is diagnosed through physical evaluation, detailed gynaecological history and diagnostic laparoscopy. Medical, surgical and alternative methods that are used in the treatment of the disease aim to relieve the symptoms. Management of endometriosis requires a multidisciplinary approach. The nurse plays an important role in preventing the progress of the disease, managing the pain and enhancing the health of the individual. The nurse should support the increase of the life quality of the patient with a holistic and multidisciplinary approach in the process of pain management.
