Surgical Treatment of Adenomyosis:Report of Clinical Evaluation of 97 Cases

Abstract

Objective: To study the feasibility,method and therapeutic effect of local lesion resection of adenomyosis.Methods: Follow-up observation of 97 cases of adenomyosis was made,who received local lesion resections with uterus retaining from March,2002 to March,2006.Results: Postsurgical cure rates of dysmenorrhea of the 97 cases were:mild,100%,37.8% moderate and severe 36%;remission rates:moderate and severe were 62.2% and 64%,respectively;cure rate of menorrhagia:100%;pregnancy rates of primary infertility and secondary infertility:57.6%,52.9%,respectively.Conlusion:The clinical symptoms of adenomyosis were cured or improved through local lesion resection,and physiological pregnancy were improved with genital integrity and reproductive function retaining,so it may be a worthwhile method to use.
