Abstract
Objective:To test the immunological indexes in endometriosis (EM) patients, and analyze the significance of two indexes, EM antibody (EMAb) and ovarian cancer related antigen (CA 125 ), on the diagnosis of EM. Method:The contents of immunoglobulin (IgA,IgM,IgG), complements (C 3,C 4),subgroup of T cell (CD 3,CD 4,CD 8),EMAb and CA 125 were tested in EM group (Group Ⅰ),pelvic inflammation group (Group Ⅱ) and control group(Group Ⅲ). Results: As compared with Group Ⅲ, the contents of Ig rise significantly in Group I and Group Ⅱ (P 0.01 );compared with Group Ⅱ,IgG drops in Group Ⅰ (P 0.01 );compared with Group Ⅲ, there is a rising trend of C 3 and C 4 in Group I, but the difference is not significant (P 0.05 );CD 4/CD 8 rises significantly (P 0.05 ).Positive incidence of EMAb in EM patients is 59.1% , CA 125 14%,pelvic inflammation (PI) EMAb 0%, CA 125 50%.Conclusion: The results indicated that there is an enhancement of immunologic function in EM patients, specially the humoral immunity, similar to that in PI. The specificity of EMAb is relatively high for the diagnosis of EM, but that of CA 125 is not.
