Influence of TCRE on ovary function and bone mineral density

Objective] To study the effect of transcervical resectrion of endometrium(TCRE)on ovarian function and bone mineral density (BMD). [Methods] 52 women who were amenorrhea for 3 months after TCRE were chose as study group, and 32 women whose menstrual cycle was regular as control group. The level of FSH, LHE, E2 and the BMD of all the women in menstrual cycle both before and after TCRE were observed. [Results] There were no significant difference on the level of FSH, LHE, E2 between these two group (P 0.05). And in the study group, which was by 1.58%. They were not significantly different dither (P 0.05). [Conclusions] TCRE will neither influent the ovarian function, nor reduce the BMD of the patients in the short time. So it can be employed as a safer minimal access operation for menorrhagia.
