Clinical study of Mifepristone and TCM retention enema in treatment of recurrent endometriosis

Objective: To investigate the new method in the treatment of recurrent endometriosis by integration of traditional Chinese and Weatern medicine.Methods: The patients with recurrent endometriosis were used the Mifepristone,1 time/d,each 12.5 mg,while Mifepristone and TCM retention enema,once 12 weeks,Gestrinone 2.5 mg/time,2 times/1 week,for 12 weeks,as the controls.The clinical efficacy,side-effects and the impact on blood E2 were compared in two groups.Results: Mifepristone and TCM retention enema and Gestrinone in treatment of recurrent endometriosis could improve clinical symptoms,had the better former effect and maintain the serum E2 levels in the follicular phase.Conclusion: Mifepristone and TCM retention enema in treatment of recurrent endometriosis,the effect is better than the Gestrinone,less side-effects,safe,and the patients are easy to accept and without symptoms of estrogen deficiency,stop quick recovery of function after treatment of ovulation,menstruation complex wave short time and is conducive to an early pregnancy.
