更多相关知识 abstractsObjective To investigate the clinical effect and sides effects of levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine(Mirena) in the treatment of adenomyosis. Methods Fifty-three cases of adenomyosis treated with levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system in the third affiliated hospital of Zhengzhou university during August 2010 and April 2012 were followed-up.The change of dysmenorrhea and menstrual volume, sides effects before and after 1,3,6 months insertion respectively were observed. Results The grades of both postoperative dysmenorrhea, menstrual volume and endometrial thickness markedly decreased, with statistical significance (P < 0.01).The uterine volume slightly reduced, but there was no statistical significant differece before and after treatment (P > 0.05).The main side effects were little vaginal bleeding, menopausal symptom, colpoxerosis, osteoporosis and so on.Conclusions Mirena was an effective method in the treatment of adenomyosis.
