Die Endometriose ist durch viszerale Entzündungsvorgänge sowie Schmerzen gekennzeichnet. Da beide Pathologien eine Muskelspannung triggern können, stellt sich die Frage, ob Frauen mit Endometriose möglicherweise an einer sensorischen und/oder muskulären Beckenbodendysfunktion leiden. Ein Wissenschaftlerteam aus Brasilien beschäftigte sich mit dieser Thematik im Rahmen einer Querschnittstudie.
