Exercise induced Brugada Pattern and Ventricular Tachycardia during Capecitabine Treatment

Abstract

We report the case of a 59-year-old female patient with no previous cardiovascular disease treated for Breast cancer with Capecitabine. Shortly after starting treatment, she developed recurrent angina. An exercise stress echocardiogram was performed, which induced a type 1 Brugada pattern twelve seconds of a non-sustained pleomorphic ventricular tachycardia ensued.
