Abstract

Endometriosis is defined as endometriotic tissues growing outside the uterine cavity.Essential for its survival is the generation and maintenance of an extensive blood supply both within and surrounding the ectopic tissue.The pathogenesis and the activity of endometriosis possibly depend on internal angiogenesis.Neoangiogenic factors might contribute to the characteristic advancement of angiogenic lesions in endometriosis in individual manner.
