Edge Computing plays a pivotal role in decentralizing data processing, reducing latency, and enabling real-time decision-making, addressing critical challenges in modern energy networks. By employing these technologies, complex interactions between end users, utility providers, and distributed edge devices can be efficiently managed, fostering a more secure, scalable, and intelligent smart grid ecosystem. Despite the growing interest from academia and industry in this convergence, seamless integration and dynamic adaptation remain key research challenges. Smart Grid 3.0 requires robust frameworks capable of continuously assessing technological advancements and adjusting network operations in real-time. While existing mathematical models attempt to address these challenges, their diversity and complexity make it difficult to determine optimal solutions for specific use cases. To bridge this gap, this paper proposes an innovative edge-driven convergence framework that systematically integrates Edge Computing with Blockchain, DT, and Metaverse technologies. This framework enhances real-time data processing, improves security, and optimizes grid efficiency, driving a transformative shift from traditional centralized architectures to decentralized, intelligent Smart Grid 3.0 networks.
