Effect of XiaoZheng injection on apoptosis rate of ectopic endometrium in endometriosis

[Objective] To investigate the effect mechanism of Xiaozheng injection in treating endometriosis.[Methods] The size of ectopic endometrium of rats was measured before and after medication.The histologic changes were observed with light microscope.The apoptosis rate and the change of cell cycle of each group were detected by FCM.[Results] The change of size before and after medication was significantly different between each groups(P0.05).Xiaozheng injection groups could decrease the number of glandular cavities under microscopy.Morphologic changes were also found.The FCM showed that the apoptosis of the ectopic endometrium was existed in each group.The cell cycle was blocked at S stage that resulted in apoptosis.[Conclusions] Xiaozheng injection may promote ectopic endometrium diminished to disappeared by blocking cell cycle at S stage.
