Abstract

. A retrospective analysis of gynecologic histories, conducted on the basis of the gynecological Department of the Oryol regional clinical hospital showed the incidence of benign ovarian cystic lesions in the total number of gynecological diseases during the 12 months of 2015. It was revealed that of all the diseases associated with cystic changes in the ovaries retention (functional) cysts, which have a tendency to chronic process and secondary changes prevail. In the study of gynecological history inflammatory disease of the pelvic organs (PID) of a nonspecific etiology and medical termination of pregnancy were of great importance. On admission to the hospital the main complaint was pain in the lower abdomen radiating to the groin, lumbar region, rectum, dysuric disorders and dyspepsia, menstrual disorders and asthenic-vegetative syndrome. Diagnostics included anamnestic data, bimanual examination, puncture of posterior fornix of the vagina when a ruptured ovarian cyst and intra-abdominal bleeding were suspected. The choice of treatment depended on the functional characteristics of the cysts, their sizes and currents. Combined oral contraceptives were of the greatest efficiency in the treatment of benign cystic changes of the ovaries.
