Practitioners have a unique perspective on psychopathology, psychological change processes generally, behavior therapy in particular, the patient’s suffering and struggles, the trainee’s learning process, and their own experiences as psychotherapist, trainer, supervisor, and consultant. They know what challenges they confront, and what help they need and want from the science they strive to rely on in their work.
