Abstract
The diagnostic value of endovaginal ultrasound in some perimenopausal endometrial disorders has been evaluated. A search of the literature included in the Medline database system has been performed and more than 20 original papers were reviewed. Endovaginal ultrasound could play important diagnostic role in postmenopausal bleeding, but also in diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and screening of endometrial cancer.
