Effect observation on Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets combined with Sanjie Zhentong Capsules in treatment of adenomyosis

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets combined with Sanjie Zhentong Capsules in the treatment of adenomyosis. Methods Patients(60 cases) with myopathy associated with different degrees of dysmenorrhea in adenomyosis, who came to Hospital of Jinghai County of Tianjin City for the treatment from January to June 2013, were randomly divided into treatment and control groups(30 cases in each group). Patients in the both groups took Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets 1 tablet daily, for 21 d from day 5 of menstruation. On the basis of conventional therapy, the patients in the treatment group took Sanjie Zhentong Capsules 1.6 g once, three times daily, for 3 — 6 months on day 1 of menstruation. The patients were followed up for 6 months including dysmenorrhea, menstrual quantity, uterus volume, and CA12-5 level. Results The total effective rate for the patients in the control group was 86.67%, the treatment group was 96.77%, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P 0.05). After the treatment for 6 months, dysmenorrhea, menstrual quantity, uterus volume and CA12-5 level were significantly improved compared with the same group before the treatment(P 0.05), and efficacy in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P 0.05).There were not obvious adverse reactions during the treatment. Conclusion Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets combined with Sanjie Zhentong Capsule in the treatment of adenomyosis have good clinical effect.
