Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of gestrinone on oxidative stress in endometriosis patient after individual laparoscopic surgery. Methods:One hundred endometriosis patients subjected to individual laparoscopic surgery were selected.According to whether taking gestrinone, the patients were randomly divided into experimental group(n=50) and control group(n=50).The oxidative stress indicators, reactive oxygen species(ROS) concentration, serum malondialdehyde(MDA) concentration, superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) activity were detected in four different time points. Results:Seven days after operation, oxidative stress was still increased in experimental group, but in contrast to control group, the levels of ROS and MDA were decreased(P0.01),after 1 month later, oxidative stress had corrected, serum ROS and MDA levels had reduced significantly(P0.01),while serum SOD and GSH-Px levels had significantly increased(P0.05).Conclusions:Gestrinone can reverse oxidative stress condition in endometriosis patients after individual laparoscopic surgery.
