Homeowners face multiple challenges like lack of awareness, trouble choosing the best panels, and limited access to government-approved installation services. Our system uses a mix of rules and geospatial mapping to provide personalized solar panel suggestions based on roof features, location, weather and panel details. It also connects users with the closest certified installation centers. We build a ruleset for panel type recommendation using solar irradiance data and GIS-based proximity analysis for installer placement. The system runs in a mobile app, with backend support and a structured database. We validate our approach through simulated case studies and a pilot survey involving 155 households, checking for alignment of thought-process. The system’s hybrid recommendation engine achieved 95.7% accuracy in panel type prediction. These methods offer a scalable way to close information gaps and logistical hurdles in residential solar installation.
