A Hydraulic Analog Computer to Physically Represent the SIR Model Dynamics Focusing on COVID-19

Abstract
A system of interconnected water tanks, with buoy, rods, gear racks, sprockets and valves, forming a hydraulic analog computer focused on the New Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is presented. Its functioning represents the dynamics of any epidemic, and allows for a more direct and ``physical'' understanding of the phenomenon. No need to know differential equations, or elaborate mathematics, in order to grasp the dynamics of an epidemic. The New Coronavirus pandemic is used as an example.
