The Expression and Significance of MMP7 and TIMP1 in Andometriosis and Adenomyosis

Objective To detect the expression and significance of MMP7 and TIMP1 in ovarian endometriosis and adenomyosis.Methods The expressions of MMP7 and TIMP1 were observed by immunihistochemisty in the ectopic and eutopic endometrium of 45 cases with ovarian endometriosis and adenomyosis and 33 controls with normal endometrium.Results The positive expression rate of MMP7 increased gradually from normal endometrium to eutopic endometrium and to ectopic endometrium.Significant statistical difference of IOD in MMP7 and TIMP1 were found between eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium,between eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium,and between ectopic endometrium and normal endometrium respectively.The positive expression rate of TIMP1 decreased gradually from normal endometrium to eutopic endometrium and to ectopic endometrium.Significant statistical difference of IOD in MMP7 and TIMP1 were found between eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium,between eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium,and between ectopic endometrium and normal endometrium respectively.Significant statistical difference of IOD in MMP7 and TIMP1 were found between eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium too.Conclusion The expression of MMP7 and TIMP1 may be the key role in occurrence of endometriosis and adenomyosis,and have no difference in occurrence of endometriosis and adenomyosis.
